Tonga Island

Tonga, officially the Kingdom of Tonga , is a state and an archipelago in the South Pacific Ocean, comprising 176 islands scattered over 270,000 square miles of ocean in the South Pacific. Fifty-two of the islands are inhabited. The Kingdom stretches over a distance of about 500 miles in a north-south line located at about a third of the distance from New Zealand to Hawaii. Source

Weather and Climate of the Tonga Islands

Tonga is blessed with a comfortable subtropical climate, from December to April; the weather is hot and humid, with considerable rainfall.  The cool dry season, with average temperatures of up to 22, runs from May to November. Trade winds during the season make for pleasant days and cool nights.

To enter Tonga visitors must have:

A valid passport
A return or onward ticket if flying by commercial carrier

Nationals form the following countries may enter Tonga for 30 days without a visa:

Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominica, Estonia, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Finland,
France, French Polynesia (New Caledonia, Tahiti, Wallis & Futuna), Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kiribati, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Marshall Islands, Monaco, Nauru, Netherlands, New Zealand, Niue, Norway, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Romania, Russia, Samoa, Seychelles, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, St Kitts & Nevis, St Lusia, St Vincent & the Grenadines, Sweden, Switzerland, The Bahamas, Tokelau, Turkey, Tuvalu, Ukraine, United Kingdom & Northern Ireland, United States of America and Vanuatu Nationals from any other country need to obtain a visa prior to arrival.

Visas can be extended by request from the Principal Immigration Officer
